MACEDONIA

Our international workers entered Macedonia in partnership with the Evangelical Church of Macedonia in 1999. Macedonia

is part of the Balkans Field for The Alliance. Efforts today include work with a partner church in Skopje, the capital, as well as

in Bitola and other towns throughout the country.

Exposing the Occult

We consistently encounter the practice of witch doctors or fortune-tellers in Macedonia.

No Longer Lost

Recently, I visited a young woman in Tuzla whom I have been mentoring for several years. I had lived and worked in Tuzla

from 2005 until 2008, teaching in the English school operated by the local church.

Macedonia Church-Plant

Holy Pick-Up

I passed some hitchhikers on my way to Kochani to pick up Zoki, a national Christian who has a gift for evangelism, before

going on to Berovo, a town of 7,500 near the Bulgarian border where we regularly visit believers and seekers.

Balkan Church Plant Returns

Team members came back pretty excited about their experience, referring to a men’s team from a Kosovo church plant that had

conducted its first missions trip to the city of Bitola.
